basco anonimo.
i found this drawing of my face on my flickr account this morning
( http://www.flickr.com/photos/basco ) i have no idea who did or why but i thought its kind of nice that somebody would take the time of making a drawing of me.
it is base on the picture i took of my face after i felt of a one speed bike the night i had my show opening in portland (show that is ending tomorrow) it brought me memories of very cold days,bad cigarretes,great people,days in hospitals,etc.
who ever did it ,thanks.

the GREAT-ES.
the are few thing that i would really spend money if i had any and one of them is records,i dont like concerts but records i love.
maybe because listening to records to me is like smoking cigarretes and i hate doing something else while smoking.
other people music i maight dont mind but my music,that wich i own and have pay to have i just couldnt especially while drawing or painting.
maybe is because i see records pretty much in the same way i see my books and i enjoy them only when i pay attention just to my beloved records.

no hablar.
i shouldnt talk,i talk too much,i say things wich i regret (and not even months after,right after i say them)
i will try to think more and talk less, or a at least think more before i talk.
i wish everything was writting down and hand to me days before conversations happen so i could think ahead and have all clear in my head before i say them.

415.
the face (03.) is one of the last pieces i painted in santiago before i went to united states to live for more than 3 years and this morning while walking down the street with a friend talking i saw it again,still there,now surrounded with trees and plants and trash and stuff that of course wasnt there.
never i could have imagined when i started painting on the street that i was going to walk by a four years old piece done by me and while walking by it be looking for new walls to paint.
maybe in ten more years or twenty this practiced that started as a game, a fun thing to do is going to still be part of my everyday life and artistic development.
my views and reasons to paint on the streets have change a great deal since i started out, my opinions about everything have change since that time.
is amazing to see on the streets things i have done and have the luck to see them one more time.

your wall is fake.
i was talking to a friend this morning about the same thing that we love and always talk about but this time we talked about the building,this big and tall building that i want to burn to the ground,
i dont want to be inside this building or on top,i dont want to paint on the walls of this building either,
i want to be outside,on the sunny side of the street far from its shadow
doing my best to burn this fake building with fake walls and fake windows down.

the first picture in the new house.
little bite more than a year ago i meet and felt complety in love with my girlfriend,paloma.
and it has been a great year,its been more fun than any other year and we have learn a great deal from each other.
and just a week before i went to portland to set up my last show we move in togheter in this small but nice apartment in downtown santiago.
we havent had the time yet to fix everything in the way we want to and we still have most things pile up on the floor,mostly books and boxes with drawings and photos.
paloma is a photographer and works for the same magazine i do ilustrations for and i , thanks to her , being able to learn a little bite more about photography than before.
here are we in our new bathroom, the first photo in our new house.
